Being a Grass Fed Girl

Tan lines like whoa!

Not the best picture, but definitely me in my element. Near the beach, spending time outdoors, and having a general lack of glamor.

So, to get down to the root of things here, who is Grass Fed Girl?

GFG (Grass Fed Girl) is a stay at home mother in student, that is currently residing in a small town just outside of Boise, Idaho. She spent the better part of her formative years in the San Francisco Bay Area, and will always be a Californian at heart.

She is currently walking that perilous line between 29 and 30. Because of that, (like most people that are getting ready to make the leap from casual 20s to certifiably adult 30s) GFG has been doing a lot of soul searching and a lot of "discovery of self" type activities. Among these activities, she has taken a hard look at what she puts into her body, how what she puts into her body affects her well being, and how what she puts into her body affects her local community (and the world as a whole).

Years of fad dieting and quick cures have done a number on GFG. While never quite attaining the goal of "perfect body", she has racked up a bit of knowledge on nutrition and what works for herself and what doesn't. GFG has finally come to accept that a perfect body isn't necessarily one that will look visually pleasing to all; however, it is one that will comfortably carry an individual from the cradle to the grave. If nothing else, our bodies are something we should learn to treat with the care it deserves.

If you would like a few "key terms" for Grass Fed Girl you might try on the following: painter, wanna-be-gardener, tree hugger, appreciator of all things to do with the ocean, dabbler in musical creation, closet opera lover, coffee addict, and dancing fool.
